(specially designed to suit the coating industries for anticorrosive coatings where the conventional usage of zinc dusts can be effectively replaced without altering the anticorrosion properties. The lamellar particle shapes of higher aspect ratio, >70, enables the paint formulators to design paints with lesser material usage to device paints with lower paint film weights per unit area. It is based on white mineral spirit and recommended for use in solvent borne paints; however, for the water borne applications it can effectively be used with suitable selection of dispersing agents preferably of nonionic nature.
The recommended dosage of it is approximately 10% per liter of paints. However, to arrive at an optimized anticorrosion effect the formulators must adjust the level of usage based on the nature of substrate).
